“Electroboutiqe. Media Art 2.0″

As a post-consumerist manifesto for the real power of art and its place in society, “Media Art 2.0″ is a call for critical artists to escape the ghettos of their production and conquer the market. Proposing all-in-one plug-and-play solutions, art objects become technological products that are ready to be consumed here and now, by anyone anywhere.
Bio
Roman Minaev, born 1970 in St. Petersburg, is professor of media art at the Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia Art in Moscow. He studied at the Muthesius University of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts in Kiel/Germany, where he lectured in the field of new media art and design
after his graduation. He earned MA/Art in Context at University of Fine Arts in Berlin. Roman Minaev lives and works in Berlin and Moscow and has participated in many international exhibitions and media art festivals.
Workshop with Roman Minaev

This workshop is held in collaboration with Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia Art in Moscow. With an emphasis on the discourse on material/immaterial art practice, the workshop participants will be producing collaborative artworks via the Internet.

Torsdag 22. januar fra kl. 19 i Atelier Nords prosjektrom
The Fire Instrument av Haraldur Karlsson vises for første gang i Norge i Atelier Nords prosjektrom på Kunstnernes Hus førstkommende torsdag, 22/1, kl. 19. The Fire Instrument er en del av Haraldurs omfattende prosjekt My little solar system, og fungerer som et verktøy utviklet for å navigere i virtuelle rom bygget opp av lyd og bilder. Flammer fra små oljelamper settes i bevegelse ved publikums aktivitet i rommet og utløser med dette lyssensorer koblet opp mot interaktiv video og surround lyd. Tilskuerne vil oppdage rytmer, høre lydkombinasjoner, se 3D-objekter og videoabstraksjoner basert på fysisk simulering og algoritmer.
Haraldur Karlsson (født 1967) er en islandsk kunstner bosatt i Norge siden sommeren 2008. Han er utdannet ved Kunstakademiet på Island og har videre studert på AKI Enchede, Video Art Department og Sonology i Nederland. Som kunstner jobber han hovedsakelig med interaktive audiovisuelle installasjoner. Prosjektet My little solar system er et interaktivt audio/video/3D installasjons- og performance verktøy som tidligere er vist i Reykjavik, Praha, Amsterdam, Brüssel og Oslo. Haraldur har undervist på Laboratorium for nye medier ved det islandske kunstakademiet i Reykjavik siden år 2000 og har nå ett års permisjon derfra.
