WORKSHOP: Wearable Sound Experiments, or why does my knee bark and my armpit squeak?

This four day workshop from March 15 - 18, held by Hannah Perner-Wilson and Miko Satomi introduces basic soft electronics techniques for constructing fabric sensors and wearable circuits. Instead of using soldering irons and wire, we will use sewing needles and conductive thread. The theme of the workshop is hacking sound toys into wearables. During the workshop each participant will develop a wearable project, paying attention to the placement of components and the relationship between body, action and sound. Participants will design wearable interactions and deal with issues such as comfort, functionality, context and purpose. More

WORKSHOP: ennui, go!

Electronics for artists and Designers with the Arduino. This workshop, held by Scott Fitzgerald, we will cover the basics of programming the popular Arduino board, using information about the physical world to manipulate the digital. You will learn about the sensors that do this, and how the energy our bodies give off can be translated into information for the computer. Application deadline: February 10th.

You. Not You.

by the Cranky Git Collective.

Some would call it a photo, video, animation and sound installation that

Cranky Git Collective consists of Dean Clark, Howell Thomas and a revolving cast of Oslo-based artists, photographers, musicians, designers, actors and performance artists.  The Collective is primarily concerned with getting up in the morning. Contact: crankygitart@gmail.com
