This a workshop for professional and semi-professional interested in sound design for gallery- and museum spaces. The workshop is led by artist and author of Handbook for Sound Design in Art Spaces Jørgen Larsson. Participants will explore different solutions for gallery spaces including directional sound, bass response, ultra sound and sound showers, aesthetic choices, headphones and more.

Participants will share their experiences, discuss common challenges and try methods in practice. The goal isn’t optimal sound, but making the best use of available technology and resources in any given gallery space, as well as thinking about the type of sound material that is going to be presented.

The workshop is the first in a series developed with PNEK (Produksjonsnettverk for elektronisk kunst). The workshop was originally developed for Lydgalleriet.

Registration: 300 NOK,- lunch and publication included. Please register here.
