Unkown, Woman 2009-349701 by Anna Odell is a work consisting of six films. Odell allowed herself to be filmed while she faked psychosis on a bridge in Stockholm, which lead to Odell being committed to a psychiatric hospital. When it was revealed that the entire episode was staged she was sued and later sentenced. Odell says that Unkown, Woman 2009-349701 recreated an episode from her own life with the purpose of revealing power structures in the healthcare sector. The exhibition is a collaboration between Arthaus and Atelier Nord.
Anna Odell recently made her directorial debut with her film The Reunion, which can be seen in Oslo from the 9th of May. The film won this years Guldbaggen prize for best picture and for best script, and has attracted a large audience in Sweden. During her 20-year middle school reunion Anna gets up and tells her classmates what her school years were like. The story of how she was bullied and excluded for nine years at first wakes sympathy, but Anna continues to confront her former classmates who react with growing irritation.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Arthaus and Atelier Nord.
