A Deep Listening Workshop includes an introduction to Deep Listening® and its history, theory and practice. In the practical part we will work on exercises on energy, listening and movement as explained in the book Deep Listening: A Composer’s Sound Practice by Pauline Oliveros, iUniverse, 2005. Processes and experiences during the exercises will be discussed as part of the workshop in larger as well as smaller groups. Sonic improvisations, textual notation and Deep Listening pieces by Pauline Oliveros and other certified Deep Listening composers, as well as pieces by participating composers, will be performed and discussed. The Workshop is tailored towards listening oriented people and participants can be both musicians and non-musicians. Produced by VoxLab.
