– Stitch your own soft synthesizer with a needle and thread
In connection with the exhibition Soft Technology at SOFT gallery, we invite you to participate in a workshop with Syntjuntan.

In this workshop you will be introduced to experimental music and learn how to build your own synthesizer. With simple tools and materials like needles and conductive thread, we will sow our own synthesizers and learn the basics of Do-It-Yourself synth building. You may attach your synth to a garment or fabric of your choice, which should be brought along to the workshop. You do not need any previous knowledge about this technology to participate.

All necessary materials are included in the course fee and will be handed out during the workshop. You will learn how to control and play your hand-stitched synthesizer, and even create small compositions. Speakers and amplifiers will be available.

The workshop will culminate with a concert at SOFT gallery, where you will be playing your own compositions for the audience during the exhibition Soft Technology.

Syntjuntan is an ensemble of female composers, musicians and instrument builders. They have been holding workshops and doing concerts together for a number for years.
