Bli med på det tre uker lange FAEN-programmet på Atelier Nord for et dypdykk i kunstneriske eksperimenter laget av kvinnelige kunstnere i Norge.

FAEN UTSTILLING (utstillingsåpning torsdag 17.10 kl. 19) er en gruppeutstilling med syv nyproduserte eksperimentelle og utforskende kunstverk av ni unge kvinnelige kunstnere: Anja Malec, Anne Cecilie Lie, Annike Flo, Natalie Seifert Eliassen, Nikoline Ursin Erichsen, Renate Synnes Handal, Unnur Andrea Einarsdottir.

FAEN SYMPOSIUM – FY FAEN SÅ BRA (25.10 – 26.10 kl. 11 – 16) reflekterer over historien, samtaler om samtiden og en mulig fremtid for den eksperimentelle kunstscenen i Norge gjennom kvinnelige kunstnere og kunstutøvere. Deltakerne inkluderer Anja Carr, Anja Malec, Annike Flo, Cathrine Kramer, Cecilia Jonsson, Hege Tapio, Kirsty Kross, Kristin Bergaust, Tanya Toft Ag, Alessandro Ludovico.

FAEN KVELDER (23.10 – 26.10) er FAENs fokuskvelder med debatter og performancer. Lær om nettverksstrukturer organisert for og av kvinner, trender innen eksperimetell mediekunst og lydkunst, og delta i diskusjoner om talentutvikling og tverrinstitusjonell støtte for den nye generasjonen kvinnelige kunstnere. Hver kveld omfatter også performancer med FAEN-kunstnere og inviterte gjester.

I samarbeid med TEKS lanserer FAEN en oppdatert utgave av TEMPORARY LIBRARY OF NORWEGIAN MEDIA ART med fokus på kvinnelige bidrag til kunsten. Biblioteket inneholder trykte publikasjoner som sammen danner den mest omfattende dokumentasjonen av mediekunst i Norge.

FAEN – Female Artistic Experiments Norway er initiert og organisert av Zane Cerpina / TEKS – Trondheim Elektroniske Kunstsenter i samarbeid med Atelier Nord, PNEK, BEK, i/o /lab, Notam, FeLT og bokprosjektet Elektronisk kunst i Norge. Future of love in the digital age? FY FAEN SÅ BRA! Join the three-week FAEN program at Atelier Nord to deep-dive into the cutting edge of artistic experiments done by female artists in Norway.

FAEN EXHIBITION (opening Thursday 17.10. 19:00) is a group exhibition featuring seven freshly produced experimental and exploratory artworks by eight young female artists: Anja Malec, Anne Cecilie Lie, Annike Flo, Natalie Seifart Eliassen, Nikoline Ursin Erichsen, Renate Synnes Handal and Unnur Andrea Einarsdottir.

FAEN SYMPOSIUM – FY FAEN SÅ BRA (25.10 – 26.10, 11:00 – 16:00) reflects on the history, current state and possible futures of the experimental art scene in Norway through the perspective of female artists and art practitioners. The participants include Anja Carr, Anja Malec, Annike Flo, Cathrine Kramer, Cecilia Jonsson, Hege Tapio, Kirsty Kross, Kristin Bergaust, Tanya Toft Ag, Alessandro Ludovico, and more TBA.

FAEN KVELDER (23.10 – 26.10) is FAEN’s social event program with striking debates and artistic contributions. Learn about female-led network structures, trends in experimental media & sound art, and join discussions on the role of talent development and cross-institutional support for the next generation of female artists. Each evening includes performances by FAEN artists and invited guests.

In collaboration with TEKS, FAEN will launch an updated edition of the TEMPORARY LIBRARY OF NORWEGIAN MEDIA ART focusing on female contributions to the arts. The library is a collection of printed publications that forms the most comprehensive knowledge and documentation of media art in Norway to date.
