Unreal Engine 4
Workshop with Christian Bøen
Dates: 26.03.19 – 28.03.19 , 14:00 – 17:00.
Location: Atelier Nord, Olaf Ryes plass 2 (entrance Sofienberggata).

In this workshop Christian Bøen will teach participants the basics of using the game engine Unreal Engine 4 for building interactive art projects. Participants will learn the most important functions need to work with Unreal Engine such as working with lights, importing 3D-models, video, sound or images, postproduction techniques and optimising and exporting the final product.
After the three workshop days participants will be able to use Unreal Engine 4 in their own work, and will have an understanding of level-design and the Blueprint system (the visual programming language used in UE4).
Participants will have to bring their own PC or MAC laptop. A laptop with a dedicated graphics card (Nvidia or AMD) is recommended, windows 7 or Mac OSX, with at least 8 GB RAM and 25 GB of available storage for installation.
Christian Bøen is a norwegian artist, educated at the Art Academy in Bergen. He works with digital and interactive art projects inspired by computer games, art history and the natural sciences.
