Open Call
Atelier Nord establishes Norway’s first research residency for artistic exploration of artificial intelligence as an environment in Oslo.
We are seeking three artists for three six-month artist residencies running from January 2027 to June 2028. The residencies will take place consecutively:

The residency programme has been developed in collaboration with MishMash – Centre for AI and Creativity, the Kristiania AI Centre (KAI) at Kristiania University of Applied Sciences, and Talent Norway.
The project is rooted in the research field AI as Environment, developed by the AI Ecologies research group at Kristiania University of Applied Sciences. It explores how artificial intelligence affects artistic practices, creativity, society, nature, and our physical surroundings.
