Events in December at Atelier Nord ANX

Atelier Nord is pleased to present a concert with Gyrid Kaldestad Trio on the 16th of december (19.30-22) and a screening of Matilda Höög’s short films Bestyr, Rep and Billy on the 17th of december (19-21). Both events will take place at Atelier Nord ANX, Olav Ryes plass 2.

Gyrid Kaldestad is a composer, writer and singer with a nackground in contemporary music and improvisation. She will be accompanied by jazz and improv musician Are Lothe Kolbeinsen and folk musician Anne Hytta. The concert will be acoustic with lyrics written in the Sunnhordland dialect. It is possible to hear some of Gyrid’s music here.

Matilda Höög lives and works in Oslo and Stockholm and completed an MA at The Art Academy of Oslo in 2014. The short film Bestyr tells the story of an unexpected event with big consequences for a group of colleagues. In Rep, a man has an unusual request for an unknown woman. In Billy we meet a man who’s life didn’t go quite as planned.
