HANDSWORTH SONGS
AND WHO NEEDS A HEART At Cinemateket
On the occasion of Trevor Mathison’s exhibition with us Ultima has arranged a screening of two films that he has composed the music and sound for. The Screening will take place on Monday 18th of September at 18:00 and tickets can be purchased here.
Both Handsworth Song and Who Needs a Heart were made by Black Audio Film Collective, a group of artists which responded to civil unrest in England during the 1980s from a postcolonial and Black British perspective.
This screening is a collaboration between Cinemateket, Ultima, Atelier Nord and MUNCH and is supported by Sounds Now / Creative Europe.
