Theme: Visual poetry within performance art
With this festival, PAO wishes to explore visual poetry within performance art, how artists work with poetry within performance and how poetry can be expressed and explored. By choosing a specific topic for the festival we wish to impart the many different modes of expression and practice that performance artists work with.
Artist talks: Artists are invited to hold a short presentation of their practice, followed by a discussion with the audience.
Exhibition / Video Programme: we will show photographs by Monika Sobczal and 3 video programmes, each approximately 20 minutes in length. The video programmes are curated by Margarida Paiva (PT/NO), Lilith Performance Studio (SE) and Tanja Thorjussen (NO – PAO).
Extra programme:
10 -13 November: Performance workshop with Agnes Nedregård at ANX.
* 14 November: Vernissage, artist talks and group performances by participants in the Nedregård-workshop.
On the 17th of November Tereza Buskova will hold a talk on her artistic practice during Open Forum.
The festival is supported by Fritt Ord and Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond, Kulturetaten / Oslo municipality and the Spanish Embassy in Oslo.
