Christina Kubisch is one of Europe’s leading sound artists. Active since the 1970s, the German artist’s work scans the electromagnetic frequency range to reveal patterns of technology, data flows and the rhythms of human civilisation.
On the occasion of her site-specific installation WEAVING Kubisch will discuss her practice with music writer Rob Young (The Wire, Jazznytt, Morgenbladet). The conversation will cover her development as a sound artist and the spirit of invention that lies behind her electromagnetic installations that channel the invisible noise of the city.
