OPEN CALL 2026

The jury's reasoning

Atelier Nord received a total of 75 applications for the Open Call 2026. After a thorough review of all applications, the jury selected Andreas Aalberg Tegnander’s exhibition proposal.

Andreas Tegnander (b. 1995) presents an innovative project that challenges our understanding of wireless technology and our sensory apparatus. Through art and research, he explores how technological changes affect our perception of the world and how the invisible forces around us shape our reality. By translating digital signals into kinetic movement, he creates an intervention that destabilizes our relationship to sensing and reality, opening up new perspectives on our existence.

Andreas Tegnander is focused on exploring sensory extensions and cross-sensory translations through art. In his practice, he investigates the flexibility of cognitive biases and perception, reinterpreting technology to create spatial interventions that challenge subjective realities. His installations aim to destabilize our relationship with our sensory worlds (umwelt) and highlight the invisible forces that shape our “hallucinations” and behavior.

Atelier Nord and the jury members would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to apply. We received many exciting applications, which led to varied and stimulating discussions.

The jury for this Open Call round consisted of Synne Tollerud Bull, Ruth Hege Halstensen, and Admir Korjenic-Hansen.
