Yafei Qi in Conversation with Kristian Skylstad

Join us on Sunday 13th of February 1 PM for a conversation between Yafei Qi and Kristian Skylstad on Yafei’s new film Hours and Hours. The event will take place in Atelier Nord’s office space on the third floor of Olaf Ryes plass 2 and will be held in English.

Hours and Hours follows the daily routine of a man that has confined himself to his apartment over the course of three days. Over time, his loneliness morphs into alienation and anxiety. Yafei Qi lives and works in Oslo. She received her MFA from The Art Academy in Bergen and her BFA from The Central Academy of Fine arts in Beijing. Previous solo exhibitions include Wearing the Fog, Migrant Bird Space, Berlin, 2019; Life Tells Lies, NoPlace, Oslo, 2017.

Kristian Skylstad is a Norwegian artist mainly working with poetry, photography, sound and video. Skylstad’s work explores existential themes by staging different forms of boredom, apathy, cynicism and powerlessness. He is a co-founder of the artist run gallery Noplace (Oslo), which he ran with Petter Buhagen and Hans Christian Skovholt from 2011-2021.
